Setting up Haiku and Canto:

 

  1. After 2 business days of registration, you will receive one of the following confirmation emails depending on the device they registered for:

 

Confirmation email for Haiku :

Dear <first name> <last name>,                                                                                                                                                            

Your access to the Haiku application has been activated.

**To complete installation of the App, please follow ALL 3 steps before logging into Haiku**

1. From your device, download the Haiku (iPhone/iPod) app using the link below:
                a.   Haiku (iPhone/iPod)

2. After you have downloaded the App to your device, click on the following link from your device to launch the Haiku app. This completes the installation process

                 b. Click to Complete SHC Haiku Installation

3. Enter your SID and Password to login.

 

Confirmation email for Canto:

Dear <first name> <last name>,

Your access to the Canto application has been activated.

**To complete installation of the App, please follow ALL the steps before logging into Haiku**

1. From your device, download the Canto (iPad) app using the link below:
                a.   Canto (iPad)

2. After you have downloaded the App to your device, click on the following link from your device to launch the Canto app. This completes the installation process.

     b. Click to Complete SHC Canto Installation

3. Accept the license agreement and enter your SID and Password to login.

 

  • You must download Haiku or Canto to your iPhone/iPod or iPad using the installation links provided in the confirmation email.
  • Once the application is installed, go into “Settings” on the device to set up Haiku or Canto.
  • In settings, locate and click either Haiku or Canto.

 2.     Change the following settings:

  • Server: sfd.stanfordmed.org
  • HTTPS: ON

  3.     To verify Haiku/Canto has been configured properly, launch the application and ensure that the user is in the Stanford Haiku/Canto environment by checking the gray bar towards the top of the screen.”
